Life at FER

FER students are not like urban legends stereotypes: among us there are artists, singers, models, athletes and even politicians. Life at FER provides many possibilities besides classes…

 Academic Life

Attending lectures, laboratory exercises or learning is not all that the academic life includes. As a student, you can enroll in a variety of student organizations, and you can even be rewarded for your work at the Faculty.

Health and Well-being

FER looks after the health and well-being of its students through student administration, medical consultation with a doctor or through psychological counseling.

Sport and Recreation

Sport in the context of physical education is also important as a means of rest, considering that activities of other lectures are dominated by static loads.

Art and Culture

Visual Art at FER is realized through our Gallery FER, while the musical art develops through two unique choirs: female choir Resonance and Academic male choir of the Faculty of electrical engineering and computing.

Career Center

FER Career Center is a central place for providing help to students during their studies and up to two years after graduation, providing support for more efficient studying among other activities.

SPOCK

The program offered by SPOCK allows startups to connect with experts, mentors, investors and partners who share their knowledge, experience and interests.

After Graduation...

You have successfully defended your bachelor or diploma thesis… What next? Of course, the Dean will give you your diploma at the ceremony with your parents and family, and then you will decide whether you want to continue your studies at a higher academic level or you want to start applying the knowledge gained at FER and start a new phase of your life.

Popularization of Science

Through visits to schools, educational workshops for teachers and events at the Faculty, the interest of primary and secondary education students and their teachers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields is encouraged.

Equal opportunities

The mission of the Faculty is, among other things, to be an institution of high academic values and ethical criteria, a place of critical thinking and questioning, and the equality of all its members. As the driving force of Croatian society, we want to enable every individual to have equal opportunities and achieve personal and professional development, unhindered by prejudices and stereotypes. Female students make up 20% of the student population in all studies, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral. A similar percentage of women occupy academic positions at FER. The faculty carries out a series of activities through which it supports the studies and work of its female students, researchers and alumni.
